Pilot plant

3S Swiss Solar Systems has a pilot plant, guaranteeing that in future we don’t just retain technological leadership of the market for manual and semiautomatic production lines for solar module manufacture, but that we can build further on our success to date.

In the 2005 financial year, 3S Swiss Solar Systems installed a latest-generation lamination line in its pilot plant. This equipment is used for experimental work to further develop products in our Solar Systems business area. The results of this research are also used to improve on the production lines for future models. Furthermore, potential customers can use the production lines installed in our pilot plant for their own tests.

We consider the continuous development of innovative products, of our production lines and Solar Systems to be one of our foremost obligations to our customers.

Research projects

3S Swiss Solar Systems is heading up a research group for the development of new solar modules within the framework of a European research project.
