Deciding on the lifetime of the solar module

The laminating process is decisive for the useful life of PV modules. During lamination, an interconnecting process takes place in which the solar cells are encapsulated between a covering glass plate and a backing of glass or foil. This protects the module from weather influences, particularly moisture. Only under optimal laminating conditions is the degree of interconnection high and homogenous across the entire PV module, leading to a long useful life of the solar module.

Patented hybrid heating plate system and fastest lamination process

Our laminating lines fulfil the highest demands made of the laminating process. They are fitted with their own, patented heating system which enables achievement of the highest degree of interconnection of the EVA foil and a reproduceable laminating process. The unique, patented hybrid heating plate system from 3S Swiss Solar Systems combines the advantages of electrical heating technology with those of oil heating. Th 3S Duplex Process is the fastest lamination process in the industry with a more than 200% higher output than the standard lamination process.
